Established in 1876 by John Brown a British Engineer as Colombo Commercial Company Ltd, ever since CCC has been synonymous with engineering and supplies of plantation machinery in Sri Lanka and across the world and has grown into a multi divisional, multi-product, manufacturing, contracting and marketing organization. The Company has traditionally manufactured virtually the full range of Tea Machinery and also caters to other plantation industries such as Rubber and Coconut.

In a testament to its’ innovative influence in the tea industry, the first Fluid Bed Drier (FBD), a universally used technology in large tea factories worldwide, was first developed by the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka together with Colombo Commercial Company. With a continued commitment to aggressive research & development CCC technology remains at the forefront of plantation engineering to date.

With every tea factory in Sri Lanka owning machinery from CCC, the company boasts an unparalleled brand presence in the market. The company has achieved international recognition by extending its services with installations to all tea producing countries in Africa, South & South East Asia, South America, Papua New Guinea, Iran and Australia.
